On a more practical basis—we can provide enormous amounts of information—and knowledge—based on our own experiences and the tools at our disposal. We love where we live and want to share our passion for the things that make living at the North Carolina coast a truly wonderful experience.
One way that we do this is by utilizing the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that we subscribe to and that provides information on the properties that are available, and a history of those properties that add insight into the transaction.
We have built our own system to allow us to identify important criteria for you—perhaps you want a garage—a fireplace—a single level home—a fenced backyard--granite countertops--whatever your interests or requirements may be…and search for those specific properties that meet those criteria. Combined with our knowledge of where we live, we can offer guidance about those properties and how they may (or may not) match your criteria. You can conduct these “searches” – and change the criteria—from your own computer or smart phone!
We can share our understanding of investment objectives, of building modification possibilities, of zoning laws, of rental potential, of financing options…in short, we are your partner in the real estate transaction.

Buying a home?
First, let's clear up some MISCONCEPTIONS. You NEED REPRESENTATION in a real estate transaction. You do not pay for an agent to represent you.
A BUYER'S AGENT is paid a predetermined fee negotiated by the listing agent before a property is ever put on the market. But a BUYER'S AGENT is legally bound, ethically bound, and as a fiduciary, is held accountable to protect the buyer's best interests. It costs you nothing for this.
A LISTING AGENT, by law, represents the seller, who pays them. A BUILDERS AGENT represents the builder (seller) in a new home development.
You NEED REPRESENTATION in a real estate transaction!
The PROCESS of buying a home can be complex. Selecting which home to buy will likely be the easiest part. Are you financing the mortgage? What type of mortgage? How long of a mortgage? What about the interest rate? Have you been PRE APPROVED?
And about that house...Have you explored the neighborhood? Are you in a flood zone? Will a hurricane blow your house down? Which school district is the home in? Are the schools close by? Where is the closest grocery store...the nearest gas station...Is there a Walmart close by? Which internet service do you use...where are the restaurants...?
